Hello everyone, Due to a majority of the team being Year 6 pupils who will be moving on to secondary school, we will be holding trials for our new KS2 Girls' Football Team starting in September. All KS2 girls are welcome to take part. If your child is interested, please ask them to come to the school office to collect a consent form. The first few weeks of the Autumn Term will be used for trials. Once the trial period has finished, both children and parents will be informed of the pupils who have been selected for the team. We would love to see as many girls as possible get involved and give it a go! We will be confirming the dates and times of the trials within the next week or so, and further information will be sent out as soon as it is available. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school office.

Dear Parents and Carers, This week, we enjoyed our annual Sports Days at Bostall Heath. It was fantastic to see the children demonstrating such enthusiasm, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the events. Thank you to all families who attended and supported the children, and a special thank you to Mr Edwards and the staff team for organising such successful days. Year 1 also enjoyed their special Muana Day this week. The children looked fantastic in their costumes and had a wonderful time taking part in the themed activities and learning experiences throughout the day. On Monday, we shared the new teacher allocations for the next academic year. We will follow this with our Transition Morning on Thursday 16th July, where children will have the opportunity to spend the morning with their new class teacher and become familiar with their new classroom environment ahead of September. This is always an important part of helping children feel confident and excited about the new school year. Next Friday, we are also looking forward to our annual A-Fest concert, where children will be performing songs they have learned on stage. The gates will open at approximately 1:50pm and we would love to see as many families there as possible to support the children. More information about this will be shared in the coming days. Thank you, as always, for your continued support

Dear Parents and Carers, This week has certainly been an unusual one at Alexander McLeod Primary School. As you know, the school was closed on Wednesday and Thursday following the red weather warning issued across London due to the extreme temperatures. In addition, Friday was amended to a half-day closure after the warning for that day was also escalated from amber to red. Whilst these decisions are never taken lightly, the safety and wellbeing of our children and staff must always remain our priority. Thank you once again for your understanding, support and flexibility throughout the week. Looking ahead, we are very excited for our Sports Days taking place next week. These are always fantastic events that bring lots of energy, teamwork and school spirit. Please ensure you check the ReachMoreParents app for further details regarding timings and arrangements. We look forward to welcoming families and cheering the children on throughout the week. A reminder also that class photographs will be taking place on Tuesday. Please note that these are class photos only and not individual photographs. We would appreciate all children attending in full and correct school uniform on this day. Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
