We believe that it is the duty of all of us working at Alexander McLeod Primary School to make differences to improve our children’s learning each day, every day. These changes are made in the belief that they will have a transformational effect on our children’s lives.

At Alexander McLeod we celebrate the diversity of the wider community and have high expectations and big ambitions for its future success. We are committed to work in partnership with parents and carers to provide an education of the highest quality. Through weekly newsletters, workshops, coffee mornings, weekly celebration assemblies and shared learning assemblies, families and staff work together. As part of our commitment to life-long learning, parents are included in our vision to provide adult learning opportunities which will help transform and enrich our community. Together, we can succeed.

Working in collaboration with a range of partners in education, our high aspirations, rich and vivid curriculum and commitment to develop independent learning is making a real difference. Alexander McLeod is on a learning journey of rapid improvement and is an outwardly looking school. We are involved in various projects to raise standards and accelerate our children’s progress which will enable our pupils to achieve their full potential.

The children are at the centre of everything we do at Alexander McLeod Primary School, we endeavour to ensure that they feel happy, safe and valued. We understand that the leaders of our future are the children of today and we strive to ensure that they are provided with an excellent education which inspires, challenges and instils a love of learning.
